Nearly every construction project involves some form of cutting concrete or basic boring. While cutting the concrete may seem pretty simple and straightforward, in practice there are several considerations to keep in mind to have a safe and successful project concrete drill.
Fist, you should know that the dust Concrete is potentially harmful to the lungs sinuses and eyes. Concrete dust also becomes corrosive and abrasive and can damage the surrounding finish.
Dust control becomes an important consideration when cutting concrete with either a saw or a drill bit boring or basic. The two methods common control are cutting wet dust where the dust is collected in the cooling water and pneumatic equipment to pull the dust in an air stream.
When using a diamond cutting blade or abrasive disc cutting device, such as concrete, water also serves to lubricate and cool tools cutting.
